My experience, credentials, degrees: California Credentials in Mathematics, Chemistry and the Sciences. I have actual teaching experience and over 10 years tutoring experience. Approved by the College Board for teaching AP Chemistry. Bachelor of Science Chemical Engineering/Chemistry, Masters in Education. Published Writer and Journalist.
Subjects offered:
Grammar school & middle school: all subjects plus GATE, study and test taking skills, and home schooling.
High school: Home Schooling, Algebra, Geometry, Mathematics, Pre-Algebra, Chemistry (Conceptual, Regular, Honors), AP Chemistry, Writing Lab Reports, Spanish.
College: Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Math for Chemistry, Chemistry for Nursing or Nonmajors, General Chemistry (for majors, engineering, pre-med, pre-dental), Analytical Chemistry, Spanish.
High School & College: English Language, Composition, Essay, Vocabulary, Grammar, Creative Writing, Journalism.
Test Preparation: PSAT, SAT, ACT, SATII (Chemistry), AP Chemistry, GED, and Math & or Chemistry Preparation for: GRE, ACT, RN, DAT, MCAT.
Meeting Location: Either meet at office across the street from UCI or at another agreed upon location.
About my tutoring:
I tutor in central and coastal Orange County cities. I have a great record of helping students to understand difficult subjects in creative, effective ways. All of my current students have improved their grades and greatly reduced or eliminated their testing anxiety. For example, about 90% of the students I prepared for the SATII in chemistry achieved scores over 700, and about 8 achieved a perfect 800. Over the years I have seen my students receive excellent scholarships and get accepted to terrific private schools, prep schools, universities, and graduate programs. I have been able to successfully help students of different abilities: English language learners, advanced and GATE students, C students, and students with different challenges such as ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities, etc.
