    You may input a molecular formula of any type such as

                CH3CH2COOH = CH3CH2COOH

                or Na2B4O7.10H2O = Na2B4O7.10(H2O)
and this will result in the molar mass and mass percent analyses being calculated when the button is pressed.

  • Please make sure that the formula has no more than two different bracket levels open at the same time.
    In other words Na(CH2(CO2(BN)2)3)4 will NOT compute because you can have at most one set of
    parentheses within another set of parentheses. For most molecules this should not pose a problem.

  • Also make sure that molecule of crystalization is placed last and that you have a period before
    its number such as shown above with water: Na2B4O7.10(H2O).
